Copywriter

The Copywriter will be responsible for writing and editing copy for a variety of projects, including print, web, mobile, video, and social media. You will work closely with members of the Brand Strategy & Marketing department to write clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads, blog posts, newsletters, marketing and communications collateral, etc.).

Scopes and Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and proof promotional copy for channels ranging from email campaigns to websites, events, videos, and marketing collateral 
• Apply the Y’s brand tone, style, structure, and voice to all copy and content 
• Assist the Public Relations & Communications team in the development of press releases, op-eds, and other PR materials 
• Interview company subject matter experts to gain insight into relevant topics and trends 
• Provide support and assistance in researching for specific projects 
• Manage time and workflows to deliver high-quality work that meets project deadlines

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, marketing, communications, or preferred equivalent 
• Minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience 
• Exceptional writing and research skills 
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard styleguides
