Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a highly-skilled and creative communication professional to fill a Corporate Communication Consultant role on our Marketing and Experience team. The individual who fills this role will develop communication plans and create messaging and tactics that support system goals, organizational change, complex issues, crisis response and internal campaigns. Our new teammate will help generate content for and manage corporate communication channels, with a focus on digital tools designed to reach a mobile care delivery and remote location workforce. They also will help foster our organization’s culture and contribute new ideas to continuously improve our work. Successful candidates will have experience working with leaders and teams, and providing communications counsel to support operational priorities and advance strategic initiatives.

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect our values and support our mission and vision.
  • Works with leaders to develop an understanding of their business function and current environment to help influence culture and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Coaches leaders on the effective use of communication tools and resources.
  • Educates leaders on the use of change management techniques and applies these principles within the project planning process.
  • Develops and implements communication plans for selected departments and programs, including: Writing feature and news-style stories for a wide variety of corporate communication channels; Coordinating and managing video projects; Planning and executing in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Moderates and participates in the engagement of our developing digital workspace. 
  • Uses tools to analyze, measure and report on efficacy of communication tactics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational communication, journalism, public relations or related areas of study.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in internal communication or a related role, of which five years must include providing strategic communications counsel. Health care communications experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated abilities in negotiation, collaboration and leadership coaching.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills, including video production.
  • Experience with in-person and virtual event planning and execution.
  • Crisis communication experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and web content management and other digital communication systems.
