Position Details

Corporate Communications Intern

The Corporate Communications Intern will assist with internal, external, and provider communications.

External Communications:

  • Develop social media content 
  • Research and write assigned news releases 
  • Adapt existing content for deployment in new channels and formats 
  • Storytelling in support of Medica Foundation

Internal Communications:

  • Participate in internal communication campaign planning 
  • Develop content for intranet with a focus on diversity and health-related celebrations 
  • Assist with internal events (Leadership Forum, Town Hall meetings, etc.)

Provider Communications:

  • Research and compile competitor messaging with a focus on ACOs/value-based care, network negotiations, telehealth, etc.

General:

  • Assist with external events and sponsorships such as Minnesota State Fair (TBD)
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications 
  • Strong writing and communication skills 
  • Experience managing projects with ability to problem solve and work collaboratively on a team 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing and able to learn new communication/marketing platforms
