SUMMER 2023

Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The Corporate Communications Intern is responsible for the development and execution of a wide range of editorial projects for internal audiences. Writes and edits corporate publications and communications. Provide writing and creative support for internal communication projects, including email communications, publications, presentations, videos, intranet, and other materials as needed.

This Internship is Hybrid, in office three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications managers, executives, and leaders to develop communications that convey business strategy and Company initiatives to all Associates. 
  • Translate concepts and messages into effective communications for email, speeches, presentations, intranet, and feature stories. 
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of internal communications. 
  • Possess a strong sense of energy, passion, creativity, and commitment to drive improved Associate engagement and business results.
  • Pursuing a bachelors Degree in Communications, English, or Journalism. 
  • 2 years of completed coursework preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and applications 
  • Web content management and online publishing experience 
  • Graphic design experience (Adobe suite of tools) a huge plus! 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing 
  • Skillful in balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Experience and comfort in working with all levels of management
