The Horizon Therapeutics Corporate Communications Internship Program offers aspiring professionals an opportunity to build a strong foundation of business acumen, technical skills and knowledge about the biotech industry. We are committed to providing program participants with experience-based learning, multi-dimensional assignments, targeted training, and continual coaching and development.

The corporate communications team is looking for a highly motivated, creative and organized communications intern. This position is suited for candidates looking to gain a broader understanding of communications roles within an organization and is ideal for those interested in content creation and messaging. Candidate should have excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong writing and social media aptitude.

  • Support the strategic development, implementation and management of integrated communications and media to help drive business priorities 
  • Assist in the development and execution of integrated communications campaigns 
  • Help interview, write articles, post stories and brainstorm new ideas for company intranet 
  • Help write and post content to social media channels 
  • Conceptualize and create visually compelling content for social media posts, intranet and other company communications 
  • Assist in maintaining social media, intranet and communications calendars 
  • Assist in producing internal and external company videos 
  • Anticipate, identify and report trends in media that impact Horizon operations 
  • Engage with multiple business units 
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as needed
  • Declared major in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field required 
  • Currently attending or just graduated from a four-year undergraduate program, or working towards a Master's degree in related field 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • Forward thinker, responsive and creative 
  • Professional demeanor 
  • Self-starter attitude 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to fast changing business priorities 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign or similar software 
  • Writing samples will be required
