Job Responsibilities:
To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate should possess exceptional writing and editing skills, strong understanding of business and economic trends, the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, attention to detail, sensitivity to deadlines and knowledge of data analysis and research.
The senior financial editor is responsible for the development, editing and rewriting of external-facing thought leadership produced by RSM analysts. Reporting to the director of thought leadership, the senior financial editor will edit and publish economic content used to elevate the firm’s discussion around important middle market issues with clients, market influencers and policymakers. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Help develop, edit and publish thought leadership in the form of articles, blog posts, reports, white paper, audio-casts and video. Determine appropriate supporting graphics such as data visualizations, photography, illustration and related material in partnership with RSM’s design team. (40-60%)
- Determine appropriate distribution for a range of analyst-produced content, including the firm’s internal web and social platforms and channels such as an economics blog, the RSM US website and external-facing platforms. Handles production and publishing of content to respective channels. (20%)
- Collaborates closely with teams that include industry analysts, industry marketers, industry leaders and business development professionals to shape go-to-market plans, including research, content and channels. (20-40%)
