The Corporate Communications Manager responsible for developing and implementing the internal and/or external corporate communications plan for a business unit, reporting to Corporate Communications department.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the research of communication needs and establishes goals and objectives. 
  • Researches, develops, reviews and/or edits communications materials for senior management. 
  • Serves as senior editor of corporate and/or online communications and coordinates with online team in posting of appropriate messages. 
  • Partners with leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications plan in support of the SBU/CEE's overall initiatives. 
  • May be responsible for obtaining bids to ensure cost effective spending on department programs or initiatives. 
  • Provides guidance or direction to team members on departmental projects.

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS in public relations, journalism, communications or related area; 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MS preferred. 
  • Knowledge of managed care and the health insurance industry preferred.
