We are looking for a Digital, Technology and Innovation Communication Manager to join General Mills’ Internal Communications & Employee Experience team.

The person in this role will lead the development and execution of refreshingly authentic communications strategies that engage and inspire employees. They will partner closely with both the Chief Digital and Technology Officer and Chief Innovation, Technology and Quality Officer on executive communications, global function meetings/events and key business communications (such as business transformation efforts).

This role is an opportunity to build skills in strategic consulting and influence, communicating to a global audience as well as gaining further experience partnering with senior leaders– all while having a high impact within our Digital and Technology (D&T) and Innovation, Technology and Quality (ITQ) functions, our global businesses and more broadly, within the General Mills organization.


  • Craft and lead execution of holistic executive positioning strategies for our Chief D&T Officer and Chief ITQ Officer crossing internal and external channels that’s grounded in propelling business objectives, employee engagement and authentic leadership. 
  • Write and direct production of the Chief D&T Officer and Chief ITQ Officer’s content (emails, PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, function-wide meetings, external events and speaking opportunities) in support of functional and enterprise business priorities.
  • Collaborate with key leadership team members across the D&T and ITQ organizations to craft clear messaging for employees on complex topics, including performance, transformation and organizational announcements. 
  • Own content strategy and execution of monthly newsletters. 
  • Serve as a trusted communications consultant and coach for the Chief D&T Officer and Chief ITQ Officers and key members of their leadership teams to continuously influence and improve communications. 
  • Help share D&T and ITQ stories as part of broader General Mills transformation story within enterprise communications and employee moments. 
  • Lead across Internal Communications & Employee Experience team and Corporate Brand Storytelling (external) team to manage air traffic control and amplify Chief D&T Officer and Chief ITQ Officer communications, risk management and storytelling across internal and external channels. 
  • Leverage data to measure the success of events and communications.


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, PR, Journalism or related 
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years of professional experience working in corporate communications or PR agency 
  • Strong executive presence with proven abilities to partner, coach and influence senior leaders 
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills, including a demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated information into concepts that are compelling and more easily understood
  • Ability to consistently deliver within established deadlines while prioritizing, multi-tasking and advancing several projects simultaneously 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
