WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will develop a wide range of internal and external communication materials to support the company’s strategic goals and build positive awareness of Apogee’s brand. You will create engaging content across a variety of communications channels. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the company, and with external vendors, to achieve communications objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work together with the Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications, builds a communications strategy to support company-wide goals and build positive awareness of Apogee with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Maintain company brand and graphic standards, with supporting tools and templates, to ensure a consistent, professional image for all communication materials. 
  • Create engaging and effective content for external and internal communications, across a variety of communications channels such as news releases, website, social media, newsletters, and presentations
  • Design and maintains Apogee’s external website and internal intranet site (SharePoint) 
  • Manage Apogee’s social media channels; creates engaging posts to promote Apogee’s brand; and monitors social media activity 
  • Writes and publishes a monthly employee newsletter 
  • Manage Apogee-wide Town Hall video webcast meetings and provides presentation design support 
  • Design communications materials such as posters, ads, and brochures 
  • Create PowerPoint presentations used for a variety of leadership communications 
  • Create and edits videos 
  • Design and distributes engaging email communications for internal employee messaging 
  • Partner with Human Resources on a wide range of employee communications and engagement programs. Create communications materials for Apogee’s benefits and wellness programs. 
  • Provide communications support for special situations such as crisis management and change management. 
  • Support investor relations and investor communications, including earnings releases and earnings calls, investor presentations, the investor relations website, and the annual shareholder meeting. 
  • Monitor and analyze outcomes of corporate communication programs and identifies opportunities for improvement. 
  • Recommend and manage third party vendors to support Apogee’s communications programs. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and technologies in the communications field and recommends best practices to strengthen Apogee’s communications programs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Four-year degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or related. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience working with graphic design software tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and HTML. 
  • Experience developing PowerPoint presentations. 
  • Knowledge of communication channels, technologies, and supporting third party vendors, including websites, social media, video communications, and print media. 
  • Demonstrated creativity and the ability to develop interesting, and engaging communication materials. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. 
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy 
  • Curiosity and a passion for learning. 
  • Able to gain a deep understanding of the company, its industry, and customers. 
  • Able to work across all levels of the organizations, including with senior leaders. 
  • Previous work experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
