The Corporate Outreach Coordinator is responsible for Community Outreach through various methods. During fall and winter months this role will work in special event coordination and administrative tasks. During spring and summer months, the main method of outreach will be through the operation of a food truck at special events and during the lunch hour throughout the community. This individual will need to be comfortable in both a food truck environment and an office environment, an ideal fit for recently graduated hospitality majors.

Special Events Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Palermo’s community partners to plan and coordinate community outreach events. 
  • Plan and coordinate with Palermo’s Stewardship Team donations to the local community, food banks, community centers, etc. 
  • Plan and coordinate events (corporate and private). Provide impeccable customer service to special events clients. 
  • Assist with Pizza tours for the general public as needed. 
  • Assist with daily operations in the Pizzeria. 
  • Assist the Corporate Outreach team with administrative tasks. 

Food Truck Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of food truck. 
  • Provide concepts on how to best utilize the food truck for outreach in the community throughout the summer. 
  • Research lucrative areas or events where business would be. 
  • Use Passion and entrepreneurial skills to market Palermo’s brand and find new ways to give back to the community. 
  • Drive 32’ truck safely to locations throughout Wisconsin. 
  • Work special events, private parties, and corporate events such as: Milwaukee County Zoo events, Urban Ecology Center, Festivals, etc. 
  • Operate the food truck during lunch hours for businesses on weekdays. 
  • Plan for and purchase food and supplies for daily operations. 
  • Prepare and serve food. 
  • Supervise food truck staff. 
  • Ensure food quality, presentation and proper sanitation procedures are followed by all staff. Ensure safety standards are maintained by all staff at all times. 
  • Respond to customer preferences and complaints. 
  • Maintain equipment including refrigerator, stove, prep table and cookware. 
  • Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, meal counts and personnel records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills with an enthusiastic attitude. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to solve problems. 
  • Self-starter with leadership abilities. 
  • Passion for giving back to the Community. 
  • Must be able to drive a 32' truck and have a clean driving record (training provided). 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally). 
  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week. 
  • Daytime and Evening availability on weekends. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Degree. 
  • Public speaking. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish. 
  • Mechanical experience.
