Are you ready to get real, on-the-job opportunities to hone your skills and build a fabulous portfolio? TDS Telecommunications is looking for a Creative Copywriter Intern to create concepts and compose campaign materials in a corporate setting

Use your ability to focus on telling clear and concise stories about our products and how they improve or enhance our customers' lives.Partner with the creative team to produce marketing tactics that appeal to all demographics in our markets across the United States. To be successful, you must have strong written communication skills and a creative mind. In this position, everything to do with communication might come across YOUR desk.

This role includes technical, digital, marketing, and creative writing. Learn about our products and services, help craft our brand story and voice, and create informative, persuasive and meaningful communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative, effective direct marketing collateral and digital assets to incent external customers to purchase TDS products and services.
  • Translate technical telecommunications information into customer-focused, benefit and application-oriented copy. 
  • Develop and maintain all documentation and processes associated with copywriting – such as, the disclaimer document and the style guide. 
  • Edit all materials for accurate presentation of TDS product and service information as well as for grammar, spelling, punctuation, telco and pricing information.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Other Qualifications:

  • Working toward a degree or interest in journalism, marketing, communications, creative writing, English, or similar.

Work Schedule:

This is a year-round internship (Spring 2021-Spring 2022) and requires at least 20 hours/week during core business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm).
