Although headquartered in Denver, we have a permanent Work from Home Structure, and our team members work remotely. This role will report into our Head of Internal Creative.

Visible’s internal creative agency, Thirty-Nine North, is in need of an agency-caliber Creative Director who will help us grow our visual brand and support departments across the organization. You will lead a team with broad responsibility for the design and development of the visual, tone, and aesthetic character of the brand. About Thirty-Nine North: We’re a small, low-ego crew, operating in a transparent, supportive and collaborative work environment. We have loads of ambition, drive, and like to have fun along the way.

  • Leadership: As Creative Director, you will lead a small, fierce design team, providing leadership in the creative of brand-building ideas across a wide range of projects and channels through the lens of art, strategy, and technology. You’ll be responsible for reviewing and optimizing the work your team produces, providing concept guidance and approvals, and managing and developing your team as creative problem solvers. You will work with Leadership to properly get projects and processes off the ground. 
  • Design: This role requires experience in design across all media types, with a strong understanding of campaign strategy. This role requires generating an idea and bringing it to life, often from internal clients outside of the brand/marketing space 
  • Cross-team collaboration: Thirty-Nine North works with teams across the organization, from Marketing to Product to Engineering. Our Creative Director needs to be comfortable presenting and accept client feedback directly and iterate in a highly-collaborative team environment. 
  • Process creation: Thirty-Nine North continues to establish and evolve our team’s workflow and standards, while looking for opportunities to streamline creative output. Assist in developing company-wide creative processes.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. 
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience. 
  • Experience working at an internal creative agency. 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, industry best practices, branding. 
  • Handle multiple campaigns simultaneously from concept to completion, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Solid management experience leading and growing creative teams with junior, mid-level, and senior team members. Experience working at an internal creative agency. Bonus if you have agency and client-side experience!

Even better if you have:

  • Self-motivated, hands-on workstyle and enjoy working with a team. Willingness to creative direct and do the creative work. 
  • A strong creative vision and understanding of business objectives, and how to bridge the two together. 
  • Mastery of marketing principles, industry best practices, branding, and able to articulate a unique POV. A strong creative vision.
  • Ability to design high quality work within brand guidelines and within an agreed timeframe. Ensure final deliverables exceed design and production requirements and expectations. 
  • Advanced skills in; Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. Multi-skilled creative; copywriting, HTML, and/or Video/Photography a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions at all levels. 
  • Scrappy entrepreneurial vigor.
