The Marketing and Communications team is in search of a Creative Director. This person will join a team of marketers, marketing technologists, corporate communications and video specialists that bring Cboe’s products and services alive to a wide range of audiences through a variety of media. Ultimately, this role will define, refine and polish what Cboe looks like today by leading the direction of Cboe's visual communications.

Reporting into the VP, Product Marketing and managing the graphic design team, this position works across departments and geographies to build and manage Cboe’s visual identity in both internal and external channels—from digital and print to web deliverables and every brand expression in between.

This role will guide the development and execution of the company's creative direction.It will influence and define a clear, strong and consistent presentation of the brand and contribute to creative excellence in all aspects of design. Ultimately, this position would ensure that the company’s brand principles are applied and communicated through this vision.

This position supports and coordinates with groups outside the Marketing department including web and some external consultants.


  • Lead the development and execution of Cboe's visual brand identity 
  • Research needs and provide tools/solutions to ensure the company is meeting brand standards and producing high quality creative 
  • Provide art direction to creative vendors ensuring brand consistency and that objectives are clear and successfully met 
  • Guide designers, video editors/animators and front-end web developers in achieving the best creative quality results 
  • Actively engage and participate in the visual creation of multi-media creative campaigns across business units


  • Total work experience of 7-10 years; 3-5 years of experience in a related field 
  • Experience in marketing material preparation from brainstorming new initiatives, to designing web and print materials and implementation 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office with proficient knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects 
  • Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills 
  • Experience leading a team is preferred 
  • Proficient in web design techniques
