Merchology is seeking a passionate and strategic Creative Manager to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this pivotal role will lead our design team, shaping our brand's visual direction and managing a variety of creative projects. The Creative Manager will be instrumental in conceptualizing and executing innovative design strategies that propel Merchology's Mission, Vision, and Values both internally and externally.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

A successful Creative Manager will show skill in the following areas:

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the design team, encouraging growth and creativity. 
  • Conceptualize and execute original design concepts across various projects, encompassing digital marketing campaigns, print materials, packaging, and promotional items. 
  • Lead efforts to create omni-channel campaigns, ensuring adherence to best practices for optimization within marketing automation platforms. 
  • Uphold Merchology's visual identity, ensuring consistent representation across all touchpoints and marketing materials. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business objectives and devise design solutions aligning with our overarching strategy. 
  • Efficiently manage multiple design projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining superior quality standards. 
  • Coordinate with external creative agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure project execution aligns with quality standards. 
  • Oversee the process of organizing and executing photo shoots, collaborating with internal departments and external vendors as necessary.
  • Present and articulate design concepts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with expectations and obtaining feedback for iterative enhancements. 
  • Provide support in print design and layout projects as required. 
  • Assist in internal product photography, ensuring high-quality visuals for marketing materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, or related field. 
  • Proven experience or 3+ years in a creative leadership role, preferably in B2B or eCommerce. 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects and styles. 
  • Proficiency in graphic design software and other creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.) 
  • Experience with project management software and leading multiple projects at once. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. 
  • Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into visually compelling concepts. 
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience working in social media, email marketing, or digital media. 
  • Exceptional consulting, copywriting, copy editing, and presentation skills. 
  • Understanding of email design best practices across desktop, mobile, and tablet. 
  • Demonstrate ability to apply analytical skills to content creation. 
  • Leadership skills with a collaborative and motivational approach to managing teams. 
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility for working in a high-growth, highly adaptive environment.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

  • Familiarity if project management systems; JIRA preferred 
  • Experience working in an email marketing automation tool (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.) 
  • Analytics experience (Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, email analytics) 
  • Experience with multi-platform digital marketing and advertising campaigns 
  • Photography skills and knowledge of photography best practices
