In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we keep guests informed about all the exciting things happening at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino?

As a Creative Manager, you will lead by identifying and assigning work to the creative team, demonstrate top notch leadership skills, and ensure guest satisfaction. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our mission, vision, and values.

  1. Manage Creative team by providing the team with a broad overview of projects and overall marketing strategy. 
  2. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but not limited to interviewing and hiring; training team members; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
  3. Execute creative briefs and summaries. Coordinate creative conception and idea sessions for the Creative department. 
  4. Direct the layout and design of all creative and branding. 
  5. Assess and present creative projects to Marketing management for approval. 
  6. Coordinate vendor selection with Creative team. 
  7. Work with Account Teams to establish deadlines as it pertains to each step of the production process from initiation of the project through completion. 
  8. Drive innovation by keeping abreast of and understanding innovations in advertising to improve effectiveness of messages. 
  9. Strategize with the Media and Corporate Sponsorship team, conceptualize and develop all print, web, broadcast, outdoor, video and other collateral consistent with the creative brief. 
  10. Inspire and lead the Creative team to translate information on work orders into functional design solutions from concept through creation. 
  11. Ensure the creative integrity of all projects. Participate in project planning meetings with business owners to understand specifics of graphic needs required in support of projects. 
  12. Assist Marketing management and Executive team on special projects as assigned. 
  13. Establish, update, implement and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, regulations and objectives. 
  14. Other duties as assigned.
  1. High school diploma or equivalency required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in a creative capacity within an agency-like environment required. If no degree, seven years of experience required. 
  2. Two years supervisory/management experience is preferred. 
  3. Two years of experience with art, copy direction and budgeting required. 
  4. Able to present a comprehensive portfolio which demonstrates fully integrated design experience to include but not limited to print, branding, direct response and content marketing. 
  5. Strong print, graphics, copywriting, design and web design knowledge and prior experience working collaboratively with creative teams. 
  6. Office skills, ability to use standard office equipment and advanced computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Familiarity with computer graphics programs such as QuarkXPress, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Flash preferred. Experience with After Effects and Premiere for PC preferred. 
  7. Able to communicate artistic concepts at all levels and communicate effectively before groups of guests or employees of the organization. 
  8. Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail and consistency while maintaining professional composure in high stress situations. 
  9. Able to possess integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. 
  10. Able to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. 
  11. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Working Conditions 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor the noise levels increase. The facility is not smoke free.
