Creative Services Manager

The Creative Services Manager leads the creative direction for Bostik C&C NA’s brand across all print and digital marketing. The role will be hands-on in day-to-day creative activities, as well as provide design leadership for our advertising, collateral, merchandising, product packaging, and digital assets including photography and videography. This role also oversees the marketing team’s project management efforts. Requiring a strong expertise in visual design relative to marketing content creation and with experience communicating the overall creative strategy for brand and product campaigns, this role will help evolve Bostik’s brand through great content and establish industry leadership for product packaging.


Creative Strategy

  • Oversee the creative strategy and artistic direction of all forms of print and digital marketing 
  • Translate initial ideas and concepts into effective messaging 
  • Support the marketing plan/strategic plan for responsible market segments – this includes supporting the product commercialization process and channel marketing efforts

Creative Design

  • Be a hands-on leader of the development and execution for all creative projects 
  • Oversee visual design execution by providing direction and aligning with market management, digital marketing and the marketing communications teams 
  • An emphasis on packaging excellence supporting customer and business needs 
  • Support a growing consumer brand through innovative marketing strategies and material 
  • Be a resource for customer meetings to understand their needs and help formulate design solutions 
  • Create new and improve upon existing marketing collateral to strengthen the Bostik brand and our product positioning in the marketplace 
  • Develop compelling creative design for items, such as infographics, print advertising, literature, email templates, internal and external communications, digital and social advertising, and other creative executions
  • Oversee all creative vendor/agency relationships, including photography, videography, editing, print production, and merchandising 
  • Collaborate with marketing communications and market managers to concept campaigns and complete ad-hoc pieces, ensuring both brand tone and look and feel per the brand guidelines

Establishing Procedures and Continuous Improvement

  • Set project expectations and timelines for all creative development projects 
  • Oversee current brand standards guide and review design policies and practices as applied to the implementation of standards of color, typography, and visual expressions of the brand or project’s message 
  • Drive efficiencies in packaging workflows Provide subject matter expertise for creative services in support of marketing activities in cross functional meetings 
  • Stay up to date on corporate brand initiatives 
  • Research competition and keep abreast of industry trends 
  • Research current trends and new technology, such as printing production techniques, computer software, and emerging styles to maximize effectiveness and manage costs

Personnel Management

  • Recruit, manage, coach, and develop a team of design, packaging, and project management professionals to meet the needs of a growing business 
  • Review and provide direction to the creative team’s ideas and project work 
  • Establish a Creative Services budget and track monthly expenses 
  • Provide steady direction and guidance, while holding the team accountable to deliverables 
  • Manage online image database (Bostik Docs) of branded materials 
  • Maintain sales enablement tool (HighSpot) with content additions and updates 
  • Evaluate and learn new software as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, or related field required 
  • 5+ years of experience leading creative direction within a corporation, a marketing agency, or similar environment 
  • Expert usage of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint 
  • Preferred 2+ years of managing a team of creative and marketing professionals 
  • Able to effectively organize, prioritize, and delegate work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and ever-changing tasks 
  • Must be able to act independently, while collaborating with a variety of internal and external teams 
  • Leadership skills with experience and comfort in owning cross-functional projects 
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for quality 
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to completion 
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of time 
  • Excellent communication skills
