The Creative Strategist at NorthRock will craft engaging, on-brand content for NorthRock’s digital and social presence. With a deep understanding of our exceptional clients’ mindset, the Creative Strategist will help the NorthRock brands bring their stories to life while working closely with the various stakeholders inside and outside the organization. The ideal candidate for this role is plugged into pop culture, has a passion for storytelling, and has created strategy and content for brands and/or individuals, in a previous role.


This role will impact clients, internal colleagues, and the new employee recruitment. With a pulse on everything our brand touches, paired with a desire to amplify the NorthRock story online, the Creative Strategist will have a very real and very visible opportunity to grow the organization, the brand, and its position in the universe.


  • Build, and grow brands 
  • Bring brands to life via skilled and strategic storytelling 
  • Quickly shift between technical and conceptual projects 
  • Experienced at building relationships and networks across various departments and enjoy working collaboratively to shape the stories our organization tells 
  • Write, produce and edit highly shareable content for digital platforms 
  • Oversee day-to-day scheduling and posting of content 
  • Stay up to date on the latest digital and social media best practices, trends, and technology changes 
  • Leverage your expertise for the betterment of the company 
  • Collaborate with a team 
  • Proactively communicate with others 
  • Obsess over formatting uniformity, consistency in design, and organization 
  • Address the smallest details others often miss 
  • Harness scrappy resourcefulness and determination to get stuff done 
  • Own to the extreme - control the execution of projects to guarantee expectations are meet or exceeded 
  • Lend a hand beyond your job description – i.e., straightening a conference room when it doesn’t look neat or clean


  • 7+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or writing roles in social and digital
  • Work samples or a portfolio will aid our consideration 
  • Concept and implement SEO and SEM best practices and strategies 
  • Create close relationships with clients – internal and external - through collaboration, strategy planning, listening, and action
  • Strong writing and critical thinking skills 
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members across departments 
  • Develop digital strategy, working closely with the team from discovery through delivery 
  • Analyze and audit existing content 
  • Build out informed strategies backed research – both scrappy and formal 
  • Personable, outgoing, and relationally inclined 
  • A strategic cross-functional thinker 
  • Someone with a keen sense of process and best practices 
  • Able to work independently 
  • A curious professional constantly monitoring trends that impact the industry 
  • A self-starter who can activate and execute with immaculate detail 
  • Known for being ambitious and curious
