Cross Channel Marketing Manager

Position Mission:

The Cross Channel Marketing Manager will drive the development, execution, and performance of Caribou Coffee’s annual and seasonal brand marketing campaigns. They will have the responsibility to increase brand affinity AND drive traffic across all channels. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing manager who is data-driven and entrepreneurial. This role will require creativity and flexibility to build and execute a flawless marketing plan in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, launch, measure & optimize channel marketing plans end-to-end that drive traffic & sales and incorporate guest insights. 
  • Align with priorities of our license, foodservice, office & CPG partners to create data-based marketing programs. 
  • Manage the marketing promotional calendar. 
  • Manage plans for new store openings, closures, and relocations. 
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to integrate offline marketing campaigns with online touchpoints. 
  • Gather data on the results and share what worked and what was less effective for different markets and segments. 
  • Manage media agency and develop, manage, and execute yearly media plan. 
  • Manage communication with internal partners on ad hoc marketing requests. 
  • Complete competitor research to monitor what other companies are doing. 
  • Analyze data to spot insights and trends that lead to the development of targeted campaigns to drive channel(s) revenue. 
  • Earn trust at all levels through excellent communication and collaboration. 
  • Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. 
  • Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships, driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. 
  • Ability to balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting feedback and interaction. 
  • Coordinate with vendors to expand our reach and ensure cost-effective alternatives are always in consideration.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Successful track record in development of results-oriented retail marketing programs. 
  • Excellent project management skills. 
  • Understanding and passion for retail, preferably including CPG. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic thinking. 
  • Superior written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people/functions at many levels. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects over multiple focus areas in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts with strong planning, organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Effective communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to accurately analyze problems and explain solutions. 
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams to affect collaboration, resolution of issues and community building across multiple functions. 
  • Strong and confident presence and experience to work credibly with and influence colleagues, managers, senior level sponsors and executives.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field. 
  • 5+ years of proven marketing cross-channel marketing experience. 
  • Retail and restaurant marketing experience preferred. 
  • Loyalty program knowledge a plus.
