Under the leadership of the CTO and a Senior Business Analyst, the Data Analyst role will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, developing and maintaining PharmaCann’s data warehouse and reporting system inclusive of the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, reporting tools, visualizations and integrations with 3rd parties. To be successful in this role, the incumbent should have data analysis, reporting, business intelligence and basic programming skills and abilities.

Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions):

  • Ensure the data integrity and accuracy of all reports and visualizations.
  • Work with our internal clients to design and implement new reports and visualizations
  • Promote the use of data to make decisions throughout the firm.
  • Respond to user inquiries and new feature requests
  • Create new ETL processes to ingest internal data into the data warehouse
  • Ensure all Data Warehouse processes are operational and efficient
  • Create applications and processes to programmatically Import/Export data with 3rd parties via APIs.
  • Perform DBA activities as required
  • A recent degree in Data Analytics with strong internship experience or a minimum of 3 years experience in data and business analysis
  • Familiarity with server side languages such as Python, Java or Kotlin.
  • Experienced with SQL commands/queries
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with deploying and managing services such as Azure, AWS, or Google cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analysis tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau or Domo BI. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

The role allows for flexible working hours. Occasional travel, evening and weekend work may be required in order to support the product(s) and clients.
