Are you a Graphic Designer with 5 years of experience and looking for an exciting opportunity with a growing organization! Utilizes creativity and design expertise to create and produce a broad variety of communications projects including print/on-line publications, advertising, logos, brochures and other collateral materials, web projects, presentations and more. Ensures graphic standards are followed in all projects and kept current. Provides creative direction to printers, freelancers, outside graphic designers and other communications vendors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures graphics produced reflect philosophy and mission and uses logos appropriately on graphic materials. Utilizes contemporary layout and design principles and tools to create print and on-line publications, brochures, fliers, advertising, web projects, posters/displays, logos and more. Provides guidance to other Graphic Design Staff. 
  • Meets with clients to assess project needs in areas of cost, project implementation, time frames, and types of services needed to accomplish goals of requestor and provides technical assistance with print and graphic art projects. Designs original promotions and creative concepts and carries through to completion.
  • Evaluates, selects, or recommends appropriate vendors (photographers, electronic pre-press houses, printers) to meet budget and quality guidelines for projects. Contacts vendors (printers, electronic pre-press houses, art suppliers) for accurate price quotes to make recommendations for completing projects. 
  • Coordinates graphic materials, media programs, and displays for special events (i.e. fairs, open houses, etc.) by recommending resources, acting as event coordinator or assisting event coordinators, producing or overseeing production of materials. 
  • Provides photographic support, including special events, clinical, and audiovisual presentations. 
  • Assists in the use of photographic equipment. 
  • Maintains system for organized storage of photographs. Compiles and maintains graphic projects indexed/filed and organized accurately. 
  • Orders and maintains art/photographic supplies/equipment. Maintains current reference materials (clip art, magazines and catalogs) to aid in researching/producing projects. Researches/recommends job-related equipment purchases. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year graphic design experience, with some photography experience
