Responsibilities:

The following duties are considered essential to this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Create graphics for packaging, print, web, and tradeshow events that match Suncast brand standards. 
  • Apply and use a comprehensive knowledge of Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat). 
  • Review all graphics for errors and prepare files for submission to printers. Review and approve proofs from print vendors. 
  • Facilitate creation and design of newly created materials to support corporate endeavors including but not limited to consumer POS materials, digital assets, sales tools, and signage. 
  • Collaborate with product development to produce various graphic assets in a creative, fast-paced, and high-energy environment. 
  • Follow creative direction to ensure cohesive corporate/divisional branding and messaging. 
  • Willing and able to take constructive feedback and implement changes and revisions into projects. 
  • Organize and maintain all digital assets for packaging and creative files. 
  • Coordinate with print engravers/corrugators to have plates created and delivered for carton printing. 
  • Develop graphics for packaging concepts used for sales pitches. This includes creating packaging mockups. 
  • Working knowledge of designing POS/Packaging graphics within die lines provided by the Packaging Engineer. 
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines and shifting priorities when needed. 
  • Collaborate with the Packaging Engineering and other internal departments to assist with any of the above. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned and willingness to assist others in the department as needed. 
  • Portray a collaborative attitude, understanding the value of teamwork and positive communication. 
  • Stay informed of new technology, methods, and materials within the field. 
  • Support and comply with all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods at all times. Suncast policies have been developed to ensure compliance with employee law.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. Prior graphics knowledge is required. Fluency in Adobe Suite required. Print Process knowledge required. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond clearly and effectively to questions from managers, engineers, coworkers, customers, and vendors. 
  • This employee must have excellent spoken and written communication skills. He or she will make presentations and represent the company at various functions. This employee will write business correspondence, advertising text, press releases, and sales materials. He or she must be able to select and apply the correct tone, reading comprehension level, jargon, and vocabulary. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 
  • Above average ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in a mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
  • High degree of computer literacy. Complete understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products, spreadsheets, databases. Ability to use to write memos and reports. Ability to set up a spreadsheet and use features such as formulas and graphs when appropriate.
