The Designer-Web & e-Marketing is a key participant in the planning and development process for all TDS’s customer-facing web experiences. This includes planning, design, and delivery of the various TDS Web sites (tdstelecom.com, tds.net, tdsvoip.com, tdstv.com, tds.perfectprize.com, support.tdsmanagedip.com, tdstelecom.com/careers). It also includes design for online marketing campaigns, including online display advertising and email marketing, as well as customer support initiatives for TDS. This position provides the HTML, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and User Interface (UI) expertise on projects as needed. It also serves as the subject matter expert on UI capabilities and execution in developing preliminary business cases that support projects to generate revenue, improve operational efficiencies, and market/sell products via our online channels. This position is responsible for evaluating new technologies that allow TDS to generate revenue and/or implement cost-savings initiatives via the Web.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Design Web and UI that enable the display of static, dynamic and video content via the Internet, from initial design through continuous enhancement of customer experiences and campaigns on TDS web sites and identifying and implementing the best design and technological standards. This includes creating the designs for A/B and multivariate tests and working with web analytics data regularly to continually optimize site performance. Provide design expertise to both internal and external stakeholders for all TDS customer-facing online experiences.
- Manage the development and implementation of proper branding, design principles, and accessibility standards across overall customer-facing web experiences, to support a consistent and positive customer experience throughout their integrated online and offline interaction with TDS. This includes providing direction to any 3rd party vendors or freelance designers/specialists TDS may choose to hire for UI work.
- Provide design support for online marketing communications, including display advertising and email marketing, as well as e-newsletters, blog and social media content as needed.
- Troubleshoot site-related problems for TDS Web sites working with 3rd party developers, content providers, advertising channels, and other business units to manage inputs from other data resources.
- Review and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Develop, maintain and enforce all established tools, processes and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
