Remote Work Option:
This role will fall under Core Creative's work from home structure that allows the employee to choose where to work from. We realize that some days it is simply more efficient for you to work from your home office, while on other days it may be easier to book an office space and work from the Core Creative offices. The only exception to this is a mandated two Wednesdays in office each month. This policy is grounded in both our trust in our hard-working and dedicated employees, as well as our desire to create work life balance for those employees to the best of our ability. Core will provide all the necessary equipment and a stipend for technology to each employee. We expect our new hire will follow all guidelines that allow us to have this policy in place.

Position Overview
Core Design The Designer works independently on assigned Level 1 projects, or as a member of a project team. The Designer has excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must have the ability to take both initiative and ownership of projects and be able to provide and accept practical feedback. The position requires a strong eye for design and in-depth knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Additional software as needed.
Explanation of Work Levels:
This position contains different levels of work, work level would be determined and discussed during the interview process based upon prior work experience.
- Level 1: Hyperfocus on maximizing efficiency while maintaining quality. Ex. Working within templates and established Brand Standards + Final Production
- Level 2: Hyperfocus on driving the correct level of visual communication to ensure quality and disruptiveness. Ex. Level 1 + Pushing the boundaries of established Brand Standards, creating new templates
- Level 3: Hyperfocus on driving the correct level of visual communication to ensure quality and the most disruptiveness. Ex. Level 1 and 2 + Creating new Brand Standards and pushing the boundaries of existing standards
Role Requirements:

- Visual conceptual skills and knowledge of terminology and vendor requirements/capabilities
- Knowledge of production processes, with experience in using digital illustration and layout software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Reasonable drawing skills; knowledge of printing processes and specification; paper specification; ink specification; familiarity with typestyles, type design; stock photography; computer retouching and image manipulation; and good communication skills are required.
Education and/or Experience:
- 2 or 4-year degree with graphics-related major preferred.
- Entry-level position.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
