Designer

To be the ideal candidate, you are a design leader with a strong point of view. You’re armed with a portfolio of design work that displays expertise in packaging, surface design, print pattern and interest in fashion. You prefer to work in collaboration and practice design thinking. You are independent, flexible and enjoy variety. First-hand knowledge of the design and production processes is key. You will be tested with fierce deadlines and demanding clients.

Most importantly, you are an excellent visual and verbal communicator capable of articulating and coordinating critical project details to a wide range of recipients. You are independent, highly organized, energetic and possess a positive attitude.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Create hands-on design solutions from concept to completion
• Interpret and act with direction from art director and creative director
• Manage own design time to meet deadlines 
• Create design solutions including project summaries, documents for client presentations
• Present designs and articulate design rationale based on objectives and the design thinking process

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must work efficiently and deliver great design under deadline pressure
• Participate in client facing presentation in groups and/or individually
• Excel at personal time management
• Collaborative team player with ability to contribute to discussions/brainstorming

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Design software knowledge - Adobe CC - Illustrator, In-Design and Photoshop
• Ability to use plug-ins, shortcuts effectively
• Knowledge of the printing, production process for digital print

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• The Designer will have a BFA/BA/BS in Graphic Design
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an agency
