Ultra Creative is looking for a talented and hardworking Designer that can deliver (Ultra) creative design that captures and communicates our clients’ brand essence and story.

The Designer is responsible for the creation of original design across multiple platforms and client brands, and collaboratively producing best in class studio work against client brands. Tactically, the Designer will attend internal kick offs, develop creative designs and work collaboratively with many teams within the studio – account, creative, strategy, production - to ensure high caliber work. Forward thinking, motivated and self-propelled, the Designer takes on new tasks that stretch beyond the core skill set with a no-fear, can-do attitude that delivers exceptional work.

Role:

  • Design. Create original designs across a variety of applications. Primarily package design, but includes print, collateral, brand identity. 
  • Collaborate. Work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with designers, copywriters, production, account, and production who share the responsibility on a given assignment 
  • Photo Direction. Articulate direction for photo shoots as necessary and attend photoshoots

Responsibilities:

  • Develop original designs across various disciplines, primarily package design, that are on-brand and on-strategy 
  • Work collaboratively with account, strategy, production and creative teams to deliver best-in-class design 
  • Assist other designers with projects 
  • Present concepts to other departments internally and revise accordingly to comments given
  • Stay current on design trends, client and competitor brands, and mainstream consumer trends

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Capabilities are more important than years of experience, but 3+ years at design firm or advertising boutique is preferred 
  • Skilled in adobe suite 
  • Art Education or Design degree 
  • Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written skills 
  • Portfolio that demonstrates authentic artistic talent and imagination 
  • Package design experience preferred 
  • Capable of following client-directed briefs, delivering against deadlines and showing high-quality work 
  • Retail / Packaging / Trend / Pop Culture conscious

Salary grade: Commensurate with experience.
