We are searching for a Development and Communications Manager who will work closely with the President and CEO to amplify RS EDEN’s mission, programs, and people via both development and external communication strategy and delivery. RS EDEN is seeking to recruit an employee who is driven, change-oriented, mission-driven, and excited by the challenge and opportunity to participate in shaping a development and giving strategy for the organization. This person will cultivate existing and future donor/funder relationships, including responsibilities related to donor engagement, individual gifts, marketing and communications, and grants management and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Play a collaborative role in donor relations effort with the President and CEO and Board, through prospecting, identifying, managing, and cultivating a major gifts portfolio through a relationship-first approach. 
  • Act as primary relationship manager for individual, foundation, and private investing prospects to reach or exceed annual funding goals. 
  • Create, integrate, and implement short, intermediate, and long-term development strategies. Develop strategic funding requests based on organizational funding goals. Communicate with key stakeholders (internal and external) as appropriate. 
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual activity to achieve major gift revenue goals. 
  • Track and report relationship management activity using internal systems and processes. Using external benchmarks, provide data analysis and reporting of the major gifts effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Organize individual donor campaigns and solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. 
  • Generate an annual engagement calendar of activities. 
  • Coordinate origination of new projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • 2+ years of experience in development and/or communications or related field
