As a Development Officer, you will be part of a fun, supportive, and inclusive team collaborating with other advancement staff to build relationships, develop and implement fundraising strategies to expand support for Minnesotans supported by LSS.

In this role, you will:

  • build and maintain a portfolio of approximately 150 Advanced Annual donors ($1,000-$5,000) and prospects with a majority of donors living in Minnesota
  • connect with community members via phone, in person and virtual visits, mailings, writing cards, and email communication
  • build authentic relationships with donors and center our work around the community we serve
  • work with a team committed to building a community aligned with the values of LSS
  • receive on the job training

Job Requirements:

  • No previous fundraising experience necessary.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree/experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Strong planning and strategic thinking skills.
  • Interested in building relationships in the community.
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Proven familiarity with local and surrounding community resources.
  • Driver’s license required.

Salary: $62,000 USD per year
