Overview:

As a Digital Analytics Manager at Securian Financial, you will lead and develop a team of motivated digital analytics associates tasked with driving business value through digital analytics. You will partner and support stakeholders from Digital, Technology, Agile/site, and other areas of our business.

This role will be responsible for aligning team priorities with those of our stakeholders, assigning and delegating project work, developing talent within the team, and proactively identifying future analytics opportunities across the organization. You will be responsible for defining and enforcing best practices and standards for the team. You will be accountable for driving and meeting team goals around implementation, optimization and especially, adoption of digital analytics capabilities across Securian.

You will build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with a variety of other leaders across Securian (Digital, ET, site teams, etc.), ensuring they understand how our data can help them meet their business goals and outcomes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and develop a team of Analytics associates, deliver performance reviews, prioritize work for the team, manage team budget, etc 
  • Communicate results to business stakeholders in a clear manner with a focus on explainability of results 
  • Build and maintain positive working relationship with stakeholders at various levels and positions across the organization. 
  • Partner with other leaders to determine longer term strategy and direction for Digital Analytics at Securian. 
  • Work with the team and business partners to set yearly goals and outcomes and drive execution towards those goals/outcomes. 
  • Partner with Technology and compliance/legal/info security teams to ensure we are protecting our customer’s and their data, as well as ensuring ethical use of data.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Digital/Marketing Analytics. 
  • Motivated and capable of influencing others and driving change, ability to work through ambiguity. 
  • Solid relationship building and communication skills. 
  • Ability to clearly articulate and explain complex analytical results and methods to stakeholders of varying technical background and understanding. 
  • Strong moral and ethical compass, ensuring we provide fair, unbiased solutions that don’t harm our customers, associates, or our company/brand.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Analytics experience. 
  • Experience supporting Marketing and Digital teams/functions. 
  • Supervisory or Management experience. 
  • Adobe Analytics/Adobe Target expertise. 
  • Tableau expertise.

Physical job requirements:

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day 
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week 
  • Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day 
  • Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day (examples: handwriting, grasping of equipment/machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper)
