Neighborhood House seeks a dynamic, self-starter to join our team and fill an immediate opening for our Digital Strategy & Communications Specialist to develop and execute marketing programs. Reporting to the Director of Development & Communications, this critical position will develop and implement a broad range of compelling communications strategies to provide professional marketing materials that inspire and engage donors, volunteers, and the community with an eye toward integrated marketing, This includes donor correspondence, print and electronic solicitations, website and blog content, and social media.

Neighborhood House has supported families in times of transition or need from more than 50 cultural and ethnic populations, drawing people from diverse communities in St. Paul and beyond. Major Area of Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement production of case-building publications, promotional videos, fundraising materials, presentations that are targeted for donors, volunteers, and prospects that are carried out on-time and on-budget. 
  • Create and implement integrated fundraising communication strategies and use tactics that are based in best practices and data-driven to effectively market our campaigns. 
  • In partnership with the graphic designer, produce compelling donor stewardship materials and communications, including impact reports, donor recognition, acknowledgement letters, and organization news. 
  • Connects and collaborates with organization-wide staff in order to tell mission-based stories and organization accomplishments through all of the communication vehicles available. 
  • Responsible for analytics and assessment of development communications as well as reporting on results of communication strategies. 
  • Assist in the cultivation and stewardship of donors through customized correspondence. 
  • Support the coordination of development mailings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an internal communications position 
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, email distribution tools (MailChimp, Poppulo, etc.), and Adobe graphic software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) 
  • Professional experience utilizing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) 
  • Solid experience in communications planning and execution with both external and internal audiences

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • An ability to analyze data to understand results driven data 
  • A curiosity and drive to use data to make communications strategy decisions 
  • Exceptional writing and story-telling skills 
  • Well organized with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Process improvement driven and stays current on trends/best practices 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple competing deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and produce in fast-paced environments 
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise information 
  • Highly self-motivated and dependable
