HAP is excited to offer a paid internship to a creative, resourceful, and passionate individual who knows their way around the social media space. If you are looking to get hands-on experience at a non-profit organization that is a leader in its community, then a role as a Digital & Social Media Intern is for you. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to use your words to make a difference at HAP and shape the social strategy for one of the largest social service and community development organizations across the Twin Cities and the country, as we support and help immigrants and refugees reach their full potential and dreams. With your creativity, savvy communication, and collaboration, you’ll move fast across functions to help optimize multi-social media platforms to inform, assist, support, and engage with our audience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Write daily social media posts and assist in managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube). 
  • Manage social media feeds and support, as needed. 
  • Manage, organize, sort, and update documents and links, photos, and video content in Share Point. 
  • Assist the Project Manager with the editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging. 
  • Assist the Project Manager with identifying leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled senior) preferably in a related field (e.g., Marketing/Communication, or Public Relations) or equivalent work experience.

Salary: $12.00/hour.

Position Status: 10-week Paid Temporary Internship.

Hours/Days: Mon – Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (evenings and weekends as needed).
