Digital Communications Intern
Southeast Wisconsin
West Allis, WI

The Wisconsin Dental Association – the leading voice of dentistry in the Badger State – is looking for an intern to help enhance and grow our digital communications to member dentists, Wisconsin’s overall dental community, lawmakers and the general public. The digital communications intern will report to the Director of Membership & Communications and be an integral part of the Membership & Communications team, helping to tell the association’s stories through compelling digital content.

  • Develop written and visual content for WDA social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Research hashtags and keywords for campaign optimization 
  • Develop videos for WDA member news capsule, social media and other communications purposes 
  • Assist staff in monitoring and developing content for the WDA members-only Facebook group 
  • Maintain online listing of low-cost dental clinics 
  • Attend committee meetings and WDA events as necessary 
  • Perform administrative tasks such as name tags, event invites and mailing lists for WDA member activities
  • Major in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
  • Minimum Sophomore standing
  • Strong written and verbal skills, including social media experience
  • Video and editing experience preferred
  • Dependable, works independently and meets deadlines
  • $15 per hour
