Digital Content Intern

Sendik's Food Market is seeking a part-time Digital Content Intern.

• Manage and publish digital content to sendiks.com on a regular basis. This includes working with the marketing team to implement approved content, headlines and ads; editing and sizing photos and graphics; ensuring all links work properly; and ensuring overall usability and accuracy of details posted on the website.
• Developing and maintaining a schedule of timely edits and updates to constantly keep the website fresh and updated.
• Identify opportunities to use web-based communications to deliver brand messages in new or more effective ways.
• Create and maintain digital content standards.
• Ensure content is optimized to meet various devices (desktop, tablet and mobile).
• Manage web analytics and monitor engagement.
• Proofread and review completed projects.
• Maintain indexed content archive.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of HTML and/or other web development languages and basic command to be able to manipulate content within CMS templates.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, OpenOffice.org product suite, and Google Documents.
• Previous digital publishing or website administration experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently to meet uncompromising deadlines.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Adobe product suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Dreamweaver).
• Previous experience in a retail environment.
