POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Content Specialist works as part of a creative team to bring the Sunrise Banks story to life by creating and deploying key communications and marketing assets for internal, external and social community purposes. You’ll work collaboratively to grow the Sunrise Banks brand presence and reputation with key audiences. The right person is comfortable working in a multimedia environment and is equally able to demonstrate both great storytelling and technical aptitude to effectively deliver the message. You must have a keen eye for design, pay strong attention to detail, have technical competency for websites, social media and marketing automation, and have excellent writing skills to share the Sunrise Banks story to multiple audiences, including employees, news media, community partners, existing/prospective customers and other key stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Internal Communications: contribute to day-to-day execution of internal communications materials, including writing and building weekly employee newsletter in internal communications platform, intranet updates, quarterly all-company programming and other materials and events, as needed. 
  • External Communications: contribute to execution of external communications materials, including blog articles, photos, video and other materials, as needed. Incorporate brand journalism and storytelling best practices into content. Keep media contacts lists up to date, track earned media mentions and assist with key media relations tasks, as needed.  
  • Social media: create and post content for specific social media platforms, including text posts, photos, videos and graphics. Own community management for social media, including monitoring for negative comments, messages and sentiment. Respond, as necessary, to social media comments, messages and outside posts. Contribute to daily content calendar and long-term social media strategy. Stay on top of current social media trends and best practices.  
  • Website: contribute to management of external-facing website, including regular content audits. Write website content, as necessary. Stay on top of UI/UX best practices.  
  • Digital Marketing and Media: Using brand templates, produce customer-facing marketing materials, including digital ads, customer emails, one-page flyers and brochures. 
  • Partner with compliance team to ensure all messaging meets regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborate with Manager, Marketing Automation, Analytics and Insights to measure and report on key KPIs. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Communications team members to support key campaigns throughout the year with internal, external and social content.  
  • Other duties, as assigned.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct reports. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or equivalent experience required; major or experience in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media preferred. 
  • One to three (1-3) years’ experience in marketing, communications, or another media-related role required. 
  • Strong writing skills in multiple formats (long form, short form, social media), including an ability to translate complex topics for a broader audience, required. 
  • Superior skill set in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.  
  • Experience with Content Management and/or Customer Management software, i.e. WordPress, Workshop, Monday.com, Hubspot, preferred.  
  • Experience with social media platforms, i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, preferred. 
  • Experience with visual content creation (i.e. photos, video) preferred. 
  • Experience with design-editing software, i.e. Adobe and Canva, preferred.

Annualized salary range:  $65,000 - 110,000 annually, dependent on qualifications.
