The Digital Content Strategist is a position on the Marketing’s growing Digital Strategy Team. This role is responsible for growing our digital base by delivering cross-channel content engagement plans that generate brand awareness and heighten engagement. This includes managing digital products, creating social content, leading content calendars, developing relationships with content creators, managing budgets, and ensuring CAC’s digital products drive strategic initiatives.

Product Management:

  • Working with the Director of Digital, accountable for understanding strategic priorities, getting close to our target audiences, defining the content journeys that attract, nurture, inspire, and retain customers, and manage quality execution and delivery of the content. 
  • Contribute to brand style guide to define voice and aesthetic to ensure that all content is consistent in voice/tone/construction and technically correct. 
  • Develop and implement integrated content strategy and across CAC’s digital products: Social media platforms Website Digital communications App

Management Responsibilities:

  • Build trust-based relationships across the organization to support integrated workstreams and campaigns. 
  • Manage Social Media Contract employee(s), intern(s), and vendor(s), photographer, and videographers. 
  • Ensure direct reports understand and feel connected to the strategic efforts of the Marketing team.
  • Provide timely feedback and guidance, as necessary. 
  • Develop and lead budget for all vendor management, data insights vendors and contract employees. 
  • Conduct regular monitoring and reporting into the department scorecard to support continual recommendations and data-based decision. making including content optimization and new concept development.

Content Creation:

  • Drive digital content engagement calendar across three social properties, aligned with org-wide, city and industry happenings, with flexibility to support ad hoc requests. 
  • Develop production plans for content capture, editing and execution. 
  • Cultivate relationships with key content creators year-round; 
  • Identify opportunities to grow base through creative media-mix partnerships. 
  • Create menu of sponsorable content options, manage fulfillment.

Email Management:

  • Coordinate the production process for CAC email communications, including updating the communications calendar, collecting assets, email build-out, and receiving internal approval. Manage triggered email strategy, including audience segmentation and personalization to drive email revenue and improve engagement with audiences. Review and manage content from internal stakeholders, such as news articles and program desc

Website and App:

  • Responsible for timely updates and upgrades to the CAC app. 
  • Identify areas to innovate the app experience through timely, app exclusive, content. riptions, while maintaining a consistent voice and tone across CAC’s digital properties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in related field plus 2-4 years’ professional experience 
  • High comfort level with technology and a variety of applications (Microsoft Office, Google Drive, WordFly, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey; Asana, Tessitura helpful). 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; adaptable to a variety of media and platforms 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time 
  • Ability to work successfully in team environments 
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills

Salary Description: $50,000 - $70,000
