Education
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Creative thinker - willing and able to come up with new ideas for content on an ongoing basis Experience writing and/or managing consumr-facing content including, but not limited to:
- Educational, yet simple and easy to understand content
- Experience with and/or knowledge of how to create compelling copy that drives consumers to a desired outcome
- Comfort with direct response and testing/refining call-to-action to achieve desired goal is critical to our success
Resourceful - able to propose/develop content and solve problems independently through creativity and research
Flexible - able to help maintain content plan and write content that balances interesting/innovative content ideas with need to rank on relevant and worthwhile search keyword phrases in context of our business goals
Organized and adaptable - able to manage an ongoing queue of content ideas that may be frequently changing in priority and content as business goals dictate
Comfortable working with basic technical subjects, such as web page tags, web analytics reporting and content management tools
Ability to develop and create forward thinking, innovative concepts and designs within project scope
Engage in creative collaboration across the organization
Evaluate results and take actions to ensure a world class website presence for us
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with design staff, clients, sales, service, IT and marketing departments, and work comfortably with individuals of varying degrees of expertise
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Previous Experience:
Copywriting experience – 2 years
Digital Marketing experience – 2 years experience with some or all of the following:
- Content to describe and promote products or services on web properties and/or in digital media campaigns (paid search, retargeting, banner ads, social media, email marketing, etc.)
- Content to help consumers select and purchase products or services
- Educational or informational content for landing pages, blogs, whitepapers, etc.
