Summary:

The Digital Creative Lead will manage a multi-media operation, producing innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling digital experiences. This includes creative development and production across all mediums.

The Digital Creative Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining the reputation of the company as a creative leader. He/She will develop new campaign concepts that span digital and traditional environments and successfully lead a team of designers, copywriters and video producers to bring these concepts to life. The Digital Creative Lead will spearhead and manage creative strategy for both small- and large-scale projects and marketing campaigns. He/She will partner with the Division Director and Digital Strategy Lead to harness strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives.

The Digital Creative Lead will analyze brand tracking, market trends, audience needs and the overall surgical, healthcare and health policy landscape, and use these insights to fuel successful strategies. He/She will provide daily design direction and feedback to the team, prioritize incoming requests against business needs and evolve and implement an effective, efficient and scalable production process.

This exempt position will report to the Director in the Division of Integrated Communications (IC).

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage a multi-media operation, skillfully producing innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling experiences across all mediums. Responsible for end-to-end creative direction of projects, from defining complex user-stories to visual design systems.

Participate in strategic meetings and lead development of effective creative campaigns reflecting the College's objectives and desired outcomes. Generate new and innovative creative strategies and ideas to meet creative objectives. Lead creative campaign brainstorms and package creative concepts and present to internal audiences in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways.

Direct all members of staff to ensure proper production of campaign elements. Review creative materials with ACS divisions and leadership. Create and direct compelling visuals to support graphic design team.

Lead a high-performance/high-functioning team of designers, copywriters and video producers to bring these concepts to life. Foster professional development of all team members. Remain constantly aware of new developments, staying ahead of creative trends and ensuring the team applies these to benefit the College.

Assists IC director and staff with implementing integrated communications strategy.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in fine or digital arts. 
  • 10+ years’ professional experience in a similar role, including management of a diverse team, is required. 
  • Experience in interactive design and graphic design, including layout, mobile design, information architecture, motion graphics, and usability; expertise in graphic design to create infographics, iconography, and other visual elements. 
  • Experience managing web assets and launching large marketing campaigns. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in content development, and the ability to take concepts and develop design assets. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in the design confines of platforms. 
  • Deep digital marketing production skills. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) 
  • Expert in Adobe CC software and other related design tools. 
  • Proficient understanding of development technologies such as Javascript, HTML, and CSS. 
  • Superior written, verbal, and editing communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Display high level of energy and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines. 
  • Experience in healthcare, and with an integrated marketing, digital, or advertising agency is strongly preferred.
