Digital Designer

We’re on the hunt for a Digital Designer with 5-7 years of experience, and a high degree of talent and potential to join our team. The right candidate will have creative prowess, a knack for continuous learning and a constant pulse on the latest design trends.

This individual will think broadly about assigned projects, understand objectives and produce a range of viable alternatives; working independently or as part of a team effort. They have the ability to communicate design ideas with user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes, and can effectively communicate ideas with backend developers.

They are up-to-date with current international web protocols, standards, and technologies. They also have knowledge of digital marketing strategies and how they relate to website and email design.

• Create and update web pages, email, digital ads and content for social posts (static and animated) for agency marketing communications and clients.
• Design and build pages in Wordpress with a high degree of comfort working in page templates and page builders, experience integrating plug-ins and 3rd-party software, and knowledge implementing pixels and tags.
• Work with moderate supervision and successfully manage projects through production while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence and creativity.
• Conduct preliminary research for projects, produce digital and physical comps, and assemble presentations (if needed) with a high level of craftsmanship and accuracy.
• Observe and participate in the organization of photo shoots.
• Openly support Spark’s vision, function as company representative, maintain web site and other PR materials, thereby contributing to the company’s overall success.

Software Knowledge – Proficient - Adobe CS – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign XD, Sketch or similar UI App Wordpress (experience with updating both CMS and plugins a plus)

Software Knowledge – Capable - Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JS in the context of web applications and email.

Additional Knowledge – Preferred but not essential:

• Understanding of search engine optimization principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.

• Adobe Premiere 

Job Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Be driven to meet customer expectations. 
• Available to work a flexible schedule, shifts in priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a face-paced environment.
• Packaging and print design experience a huge bonus!
• Must be either a US Citizen or approved to work in the USA.
