Your Role:

The Digital Fundraising Specialist, in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Regional Fundraising and the Membership team will plan and execute multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns for Minnesota Public Radio (MPR). Channels include email, web, social media, apps and other digital media.

This position will work to meet assigned Member and revenue goals and innovate with the Membership team as MPR transforms from a broadcast organization to a robust multi-media organization.

The person in this position will be guided by a commitment to equity and inclusion, and contribute to providing access to independent music, news and analysis to all, without paywall or barrier.

Your Responsibility:

Translate fundraising and donor engagement strategies into robust project plans that include timelines, channel selection, segmentation, projected response rates and revenue

  • Execute digital fundraising and donor engagement campaign plans and tactics, including segmentation, channel selection, timing and key messaging 
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners to execute project plans and provide regular status updates 
  • Write and proof compelling and persuasive fundraising and donor engagement copy for all digital channels 
  • Produce fundraising and donor engagement emails, membership informational web pages, and online donation forms 
  • Implement testing and continuous improvement in partnership with Senior Manager, Regional Fundraising and Audience Insights; Monitor, analyze and evaluate digital campaigns to identify both successes and opportunities for improvement 
  • Regularly monitor industry trends and changes in digital platforms and apply learnings; Research and apply best practices for digital content strategy 
  • Assist with the implementation of new digital fundraising tools 
  • Collaborate with the Membership team to integrate digital channel campaigns with direct mail, on-air promotion, and telemarketing

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Two or more years of work experience, including a minimum of one year writing copy for digital platforms

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience should include digital campaign planning, execution and analysis 
  • Experience coordinating social media, search or other digital campaigns 
  • Well-developed collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills including written and verbal 
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience executing social media or paid advertising campaigns 
  • Working knowledge of native social media analytics 
  • Experience executing email marketing or fundraising campaigns 
  • Experience writing for digital platforms 
  • Project management experience 
  • Basic HTML knowledge 
  • Experience using constituent relationship management systems 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Expected Compensation Range:

$27.50- 31.25 / hourly. Exact hourly rate determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure and internal equity.
