Job Summary:

As the Digital Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing digital measurement across all online channels of the Sherwin-Williams Consumer Brands Group portfolio of brands including Valspar, HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams, Krylon, Minwax, Cabot, Thompson’s WaterSeal and Purdy. This individual will have strong analytical skills and a curious mindset. This role is highly collaborative and will support data-driven strategies that place data at the center of our marketing decision making.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing Business Partners (BPs) to understand business goals and objectives. Identify KPIs, benchmarks and best practices to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activity with a methodology that works consistently across all brands. 
  • Define requirements for tracking and tagging across digital data platforms to ensure consistency and proper measurement of data. 
  • Knowledge of email reporting and creation tools, like Marketo. Support email marketing campaigns, reporting and analytics. Supporting CBG brands development of email content and strategy. 
  • Responsible for implementations of site analytics and tagging on Brand.com with a clear POV on analytics for Earned and Paid media driving traffic to these owned properties. 
  • Leads dashboard and reporting development working in tools like Google Data Studio and Tableau to present clear visual interpretations of the data, partnering with the BPs to develop actionable insights 
  • Perform QA audits to ensure web tracking tags are up to date and working as expected, including ensuring data integrity an industry best practices for data gathering and reporting.
  • Work directly with Sherwin-Williams IT to support analytics integration on Owned properties, championing proper analytics setup and implementation across legacy and new web properties. 
  • Monitor website analytics to identify patterns and optimization opportunities based on site data. 
  • Produce monthly reporting dashboards that highlight key results, user behavior and provide brands strategic recommendations for optimization and decision making. 
  • Partner with BPs and agency partners to analyze media performance such as paid social or paid search. 
  • Familiarity with UTM tracking is desired. 
  • Work with BPs and brand leads to set best practices across the CBG division for measurement strategy, reporting cadence and insights. 
  • Create ad-hoc analyses as requested by internal teams and agency partners. (site search trends, site speed performance, website KPI forecasting) 
  • Stay up to date with the digital landscape and proactively identify new analytics platforms and technologies to help evolve data collection, visualization and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in digital marketing and analytics in B2C, B2B industries, including partnering with retailers. CPG experience a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Admin expertise in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio. Experience with other relevant analytics tools, like RegEx and Tableau and technology is a plus. Marketo and knowledge of Adobe tools also a plus. 
  • A creative problem solver with a change-for-the-better mindset to grow and hone a world-class digital marketing team. 
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-through and a hands-on approach to directing multiple projects simultaneously.
