Digital Marketing Associate, Social Media

Job Summary:

The Digital Marketing Associate is proficient in the development and implementation of social media marketing campaign tactics. This role will focus on the execution of social media campaigns in addition to broad digital campaigns. The digital marketing associate works primarily with the national industry and line of business practices aligned to their assigned digital marketing team, but may provide focus area support across the Digital Marketing and Audience Engagement Center of Excellence in times of high demand or to expand skills/internal awareness. Will have primary ownership of repeatable tactics and assist in development of independent programming.

What will you be doing?

General digital team member responsibilities:

• Understand marketing campaign strategy for assigned responsibilities 
• Complete assigned tactics in a timely manner, communicating with broader team members 
• Uphold RSM brand standards and marketing best practices 
• Monitor performance, make adjustments as necessary in order to achieve success metrics 
• Provide critical thinking about the approach to tactical execution 
• Proactively manage multiple projects and deadlines 
• Regularly participates in RSM-led digital marketing training and seeks out personal professional development 
• May assist digital team lead with team/project management

Channel or platform focus area responsibilities:

Social Media (60%)

• Manages the editorial process and posting for social media campaigns across one or more of aligned digital marketing teams 
• Social media copywriting, editing and scheduling 
• Collaborate with design team on social media graphics 
• Monitor and measures social media channel and content performance for aligned team 
• Research and monitor competitive space, make recommendations to social media lead and other DM+AE members 
• Provides peer-coaching on social media best practices

Social Campaign Reporting (30%):

• Provides critical thinking and consultative advice to team and nationally aligned teams 
• Compiles and analyzes social media data and reports on regular cadence

Other duties as assigned (10%)

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing, communications or journalism

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS:

• Experience with corporate social marketing and enterprise management platforms, Hootsuite a plus 
• Understands the differences between social media platforms, especially LinkedIn and Twitter 
• Background with an analytics suite, Adobe Analytics a plus 
• Proficiency or ability to quickly become proficient in RSM marketing platforms 
• Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel 
• Operates with a sense of urgency and personal commitment to quality 
• Enthusiastic about understanding and upholding the RSM brand

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-4 years, preferred 
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple items at various stages of development 
• Strong attention to detail

• Able to work independently and prioritize personal workload within team objectives 
• Strong team player with the confidence to ask questions and offer suggestions
