SUMMARY:

MCAD is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and producing content for internal and external web and email communications. This position will also assist with implementing digital strategy, communications, and services. The Digital Marketing Coordinator must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and the overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.

DETAILS:

This is a full time non-exempt position, expected to work 35 hours a week. This position reports to the Digital Marketing Director and is paid $19.78 - $20.88 hourly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate implementation of multimedia content for digital outreach, including but not limited to web pages, image galleries, videos, emails, and social media. 
  • Produce email marketing initiatives using best practices. 
  • Consolidate internal communications into a weekly email digest. 
  • Work to promote internal communications best practices throughout the college. 
  • Review and evaluate web content for accuracy, performance, and audience relevance. 
  • Implement digital marketing automation workflows wherever possible and monitor and report on their effectiveness. 
  • Work closely with internal partners to promote events through web and email. 
  • Maintain brand voice and quality for electronic materials for external audiences and edit material developed by other offices to maintain consistent voice and message for the college. 
  • Gather information from diverse sources throughout the college in preparation for creating online materials. 
  • Establish source of truth of content and process for delivering the content on the web. 
  • Oversee casual labor and work study employees and coach them in content creation best practices. 
  • Research current trends and best practices in higher education in the digital marketing field. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned Represents MCAD’s vision, purpose, and values in day-to-day work and interactions with MCAD students, staff, faculty, and campus guests, as well as the greater community

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has some supervisory responsibilities for work-study students.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or related field. 
  • 1+ years web and digital coordination and production 
  • Writing and editing for various audiences; familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style, preferred 
  • Experience with an email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Pardot, Salesforce) preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required 
  • General understanding of success metrics 
  • Computer experience: CRM database experience preferred; proficient skill-level in Google Drive which includes docs, sheets, slides, email and basic computer concepts; willingness and ability to learn new software 
  • Demonstrated grasp of usability issues and practices 
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail 
  • Drupal experience preferred 
  • HTML/CSS proficiency 
  • Appreciation of the visual arts and working with artists and designers
