Digital Marketing Designer, Hybrid
Southeast Wisconsin
Hartland, WI

As the Digital Marketing Designer for Batteries Plus, responsibilities will include designing digital assets, testing them, and optimizing them based on their performance. The Digital Marketing Designer will be responsible for staying up to date on industry trends and the latest digital design software.

  • Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings. 
  • Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. 
  • Test assets and optimize based on their performance. 
  • Iterate new designs based on user feedback. 
  • Create digital assets (static, video, and HTML) for a range of platforms (social, display advertising, eCommerce, websites, mobile apps, etc.). 
  • Create email designs for CRM programs and coordinate the creation of email templates in HTML. 
  • Design and develop homepages, landing pages, and email concepts. 
  • Create and execute concepts for digital advertising. 
  • Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation. 
  • Collaborates with client, editorial staff, manager, art director, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message. 
  • Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way. 
  • Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review. 
  • Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback processes. 
  • Consults with graphics manager, art director, and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects. 
  • Maintain technical competency by researching new technology and changes in the industry.
  • Research new software and design concepts.


  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 3+ years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the design thinking process, agile development, and lean startup methodologies 
  • Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, InVision, etc 
  • Working knowledge of CSS and HTML. Proficiency with ESP-specific scripting language (liquid scripting, AMPscript, etc), JavaScript, Jqery strong preferred
