Help tell the DSHA story! This position will help lead the digital marketing strategy and presence for DSHA High School, working collaboratively within the school’s Advancement Department. Primary responsibilities include social media, school website content management and analytics, and email marketing.

Assists the Vice President of Marketing & Communications in the planning process that formulates an annual marketing plan that outlines measurable goals and strategies that advance DSHA and drive increased engagement with prospective and current constituencies. Assumes responsibility for the following portions of this plan:

  • Co-leads overall digital strategy alongside of the VP of Marketing & Communications including social media, digital paid advertisements, and email marketing. 
  • Manages Advancement Department communications calendar and works with advancement staff to ensure processes and timelines are maintained appropriately. 
  • Works with the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Special Events, Alumnae Director, and Director of Annual Giving to lead a communications and marketing plan forall special events within the development department. 
  • Works collaboratively with the VP of Marketing & Communications, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, and the Admissions & Marketing Coordinator in planning and executing marketing efforts to the prospective family and student audience. This position will lead the marketing plan for DSHA Summer Cool. 
  • Serves as the primary first-editor for all recruitment and development eblast publications to ensure that content is in alignment with brand standards, school mission, and accurately proofread according to DSHA copy style. Will work with VP of Marketing & Communications to determine final deploy-ready content. 

Manages and leads social media strategy with a strategic annual plan to engage all key audiences. Platforms include but may not be limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Works with Advancement Dept. staff to plan and execute recruitment and development initiatives on social media and works collaboratively with the Marketing & Development Writer to plan, coordinate, and edit school-based posts. Executes DSHA’s social media strategy and modifies the strategy based on trends and analytics with the goal of increasing engagement. 

Serves as the primary editor for the bi-weekly Parent eNews, overseeing the execution of the publication by the Marketing and Development Writer, seeking opportunities to consistently improve the visual appeal, open-rate metrics, and parent engagement for this primary communications platform. 

Leads and manages all Summer Cool Marketing and Communications. 

Creates and manages monthly website audit calendar and executes updates accordingly.

  • Provides website training and support to other editors and approves their content as needed. 
  • Keeps website content current to meet the needs of all DSHA constituents (both public and internal audiences); this includes public-facing content along with SEO and MetaData. 
  • Works with Niche School Marketing to track site usage via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and adjusts content as needed to optimize user experience. Keeps Niche School Marketing website updated with current content. 
  • Uses Google Ads and Meta/Facebook Ads to drive users to the website. 
  • Repurposes organic content to keep News and Voices blogs updated on DSHA.info. 

Assists with Advancement and school events as needed.

Work Environment: The work takes place primarily in an office/school environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • The candidate must hold a 4-year degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional marketing and/or communications experience is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have marketing and messaging experience with a brand/company, an advertising agency representing a brand/company, or experience in education or nonprofit messaging marketing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A passion for the education and development of confident and capable young women. 
  • A working understanding of the Catholic faith and willingness to quickly learn and understand the mission of both DSHA and the Salvatorian mission of Sisters of the Divine Savior as it relates to communicating the DSHA student experience. 
  • Excellent brand messaging, writing, editing, proofreading and visual skills to tell stories and shape messages in an innovating and engaging manner that will motivate prospective students and parents; donors and potential donor; and increase engagement with current audience. 
  • Must be open to coaching and feedback. 
  • Critical thinking and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to learn new processes quickly.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment and be willing to adapt as needed.
  • Must be self-motivated and committed to meeting or exceeding deadlines in order to execute a strategic marketing and development plan. 
  • Ability to work under tight and competing deadlines.
  • Must be fluent in MS Office programs. 
  • Proficient in social media platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube with a working knowledge of social media analytics tools. 
  • Experience working in web-based content management systems with a willingness to learn new technologies quickly. 
  • Working knowledge of SEO and how it affects website writing; Google Analytics and Tag Manager; and Facebook/Meta Analytics. 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
