Digital Marketing Director - Zurn

The Director of Digital Marketing will lead the development and implementation of Zurn’s Digital Marketing and Digital Innovation strategies. This critical role will be responsible for driving a comprehensive roadmap of website feature development, UX/UI enhancements, and business intelligence programs. In addition, this role will own the growth and optimization of a highly profitable lead generation, nurturing and sales qualification strategy and therefore must be well versed in inbound marketing, paid media, digital content, marketing automation and CRM. This position must be strongly customer focused and results driven and work diligently to obtain a clear understanding of customer expectations to prioritize and drive forward our web innovation roadmap. As a Director-level role, this position must also be a strong leader, managing a cross functional team of talented digital marketers and web developers.

Key Accountabilities:

Digital Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Develop and the lead the digital marketing strategy for the business Lead an end to end lead generation, nurturing and sales qualification process. 
  • Work closely with the digital marketing and sales team to improve the ROI of digital demand generation. 
  • Optimize owned websites for SEO, ensure all technical structures, sitemaps, internal linking strategies, UX, content, etc. are properly optimized for search 
  • Own the digital content strategy, utilizing thought leadership content to drive demand. 
  • Nurture and qualify leads acquired through Zurn’s digital properties via marketing automation. 
  • Implement paid search, programmatic and social strategies for the business.

Digital Innovation

  • Lead the creation, prioritization, and implementation of the innovation roadmap for Zurn’s digital properties 
  • Own all testing, debugging and performance of all web properties 
  • Connect websites to Zurn’s PIM database 
  • Maintain the CMS and content delivery for all Zurn websites 
  • Audit content, delivery and errors to ensure a strong user experience 
  • Utilize web analytics, BI and qualitative intelligence to create success metrics and dashboards cascaded to all levels of the organization 
  • Select and manage web agencies to accelerate the pace of innovation 
  • Evaluate new technologies and web platforms to improve the overall digital experience 
  • Document technical work processes, ensures quality assurance, and standardization

UX Improvements

  • Improve our website customer satisfaction for each persona group to the top quartile of our peer group. 
  • Collaborate with the creative team on the design of new web templates 
  • Lead the consolation of web properties to create a better experience for our customers 
  • Work with product and sales teams to develop new tools that drive the sale of Zurn products 
  • Educate the organization on how customers are interacting with products/features important to key stakeholders and work to improve technologies collectively 
  • Create A/B and multivariate testing programs to improve the customer experience

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in Digital Marketing 
  • 5+ years’ experience managing Digital Marketing teams 
  • Experience managing budgets exceeding $1M annually 
  • Highly knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies 
  • Expert level understanding of web technology and well versed in web usability best practices 
  • Proven success in improving search results through SEO 
  • Expert level knowledgeable of PPC, display and video advertising 
  • Ability to think strategically and develop a web roadmap that creates customer value 
  • Expert level knowledge of web analytics, being able to translate web analytics into actional business insights. 
  • Strong organization skills with focus on setting priorities and delivering quality results under tight constraints 
  • Proven experience managing multiple web projects at once utilizing both internal and external resources. 
  • Well versed in marketing automation strategy 
  • Highly knowledgeable of web design best practices 
  • Proven experience collaborating with IT on successful system upgrades, serving migrations, performance enhancements and deployments. 
  • Experience with .NET and Kentico is highly preferred. 
  • Passion for emerging technology 
  • Experience managing websites in the manufacturing industry in a B2B environment a plus
