HNI Corporation, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing is in search of a Digital Marketing Director to join our team in Chicago, IL or Muscatine, IA!

In this newly created position, you will play a crucial role in building HNI’s digital marketing and business capabilities as well as develop a vision for driving and capturing demand through an evolutionary omni-channel, customer centric approach. As a key leadership hire in a new department, you will courageously navigate uncharted waters to develop and define an agile marketing process that will inform the combination of customer acquisition, retention and the digital transaction ecosystem for HNI.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute a vision for driving demand, engagement and conversion through owned, earned and paid digital channels. 
  • Create and inform enterprise annual planning processes, business case justification and regular strategic updates for executive and cross functional team stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with technology, brand, product and data science teams to iterate and establish best practices for this emerging, customer centric capability. 
  • Initiate and lead a Center of Excellence approach within relevant digital touch points and scale across operating companies. 
  • Identify digital driven business trends from a variety of customer data sources to enable faster and better decision making. 
  • Communicate and evangelize the plan and results to the gamut of executive, board and cross functional teams to align goals and priorities. 
  • Strategically hire staff and agency support while providing digital thought leadership across the enterprise.

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of digital marketing leadership experience within a customer driven organization. 
  • Proven track record of end-to-end, strategic and executional experience within an omni-channel environment inclusive of eCommerce, paid media and CRM driven channels. 
  • Customer insights driven with a background of understanding tools such as voice of the customer, customer journeys & path to purchase to develop novel digital marketing strategy and campaign approaches. 
  • History of developing new process and feedback loops across the digital stack. 
  • Technology and digital product savvy with the experience to ask the right questions on the behalf of the customer and business. 
  • Familiarity with building, managing and leading cross functional teams.
