POSITION SUMMARY:

The digital marketing generalist will help build, execute and analyze digital marketing operations and campaigns through the Kemper Digital Marketing Center of Excellence, reporting to a Director of Digital Marketing. The generalist will work with business brand marketing teams and participate in digital marketing strategy and process development. They should have a strong track record increasing web traffic and lead generation in a B2B environment. Experience should include strong quantitative analysis and project management skills, and hands-on experience with content management, SEO, Google Analytics, Paid Search, Paid Social, Marketing Automation and Email Marketing.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with digital and business brand marketing teams to coordinate and execute the strategy and setup of all digital activities, including email drip campaigns, marketing automation, website optimization, paid search and paid social 
  • Analyze and optimize campaign activity using channel-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and attribution/conversion metrics 
  • Produce and present reports that demonstrate program performance laddering up to corporate strategies to ensure cross-team understanding of performance 
  • Coordinate partnerships with channel vendors as required 
  • Collaborate withinternal teams and external agencies and partners to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all programs 
  • Recommend, coordinate A/B/xtests for improved campaign performance using understanding of the target audience, platform best practices, page optimization and user experience principles 
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and opportunities 
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure balance in lead/sales volume and cost efficiencies

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • In-depth knowledge of digital practices that drive up to business strategy 
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience with digital marketing channels and technologies, including website and Email marketing, SEO, paid search, organic and paid social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – comfortable with pivot tables, macros, and PowerPoint best practices 
  • Experience with a variety of digital systems, including CMS (Drupal is ideal), Email and marketing automation 
  • Familiar with Google Analytics and tag management tools 
  • Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results
