Position Summary:

Bio-Techne is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join the growing digital marketing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about search engine marketing, content optimization, and analytics and has a biology background. This person will work closely between the marketing, product management, and web development teams to ensure Bio-Techne brands are optimized to improve visibility on search engines, generate traffic, and drive conversions.

Essential Functions:

  • Content optimization strategist for ads, landing pages and new content 
  • Conduct keyword research to ensure sites are optimized for the appropriate terms 
  • Ensure Bio-Techne sites meet Search Engine Optimization best practices 
  • Provide ongoing analysis to identify areas for optimization 
  • Work closely with the web development team to prioritize website enhancements/optimizations 
  • Work with product manager to ensure products are optimized for search 
  • Collaborate with content development teams to improve copy for web 
  • Prioritizes work for Digital Marketing Specialists 
  • Provide strategic recommendations on where to prioritize digital marketing efforts 
  • Ability to manage and communicate with teams across the organization

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with a minimum of three years’ experience. 
  • Strong planning skills and the demonstrated ability to handle many projects at once. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong experienced with content optimization 
  • 1 – 3 years search engine optimization experience 
  • Ability to develop and implement digital marketing strategies 
  • Experience developing, measuring, and reporting on KPIs 
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and the ability to analyze data and provide recommendations 
  • Experience with paid search is a plus 
  • A science background is a plus but not required 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment 
  • Responsible for offering insights to business stakeholders on performance of existing campaigns and suggestions for opportunities. 
  • Skilled computer use and web-browsing familiarity and ability to apply these to product lines. 
  • Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects. 
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written. 
  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently and with a team. 
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite or other Social Media Management tools 
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics 
  • Knowledge of corporate branding for global company 
  • Skills in establishing effective interpersonal relationships such as the ability to solicit key ideas and information 
  • Skills in developing and building teams, encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members 
  • Skills in resolving conflicts and negotiating with others. 
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others 
  • Skills in planning, organizing, time management and multi-tasking 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing skills 
  • Ability to think like a scientist but not get bogged down in the scientific detail 
  • Ability to work with C-Level stakeholders when needed for corporate level projects 
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner
