The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) is the destination marketing organization for the Greater Appleton, Wisconsin area.  We elevate the awareness and image of the 19 communities we serve to attract visitors. Each day our team works directly with families, groups, meeting planners, business leaders, community organizations, and sports tournament directors to answer questions, make suggestions, optimize plans, and welcome visitors to our area. Our work ensures that people from all walks of life will feel welcomed and at home when they discover the endless original experiences found all throughout the Fox Cities.

Develop, manage, and optimize content across the organization’s various digital platforms to enhance the visibility and appeal of the Fox Cities as a travel destination.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with the overall marketing goals, objectives, and themes
  • Create compelling, informative, and SEO-optimized content across multiple formats, including blog articles, website copy, email campaigns, and multimedia assets
  • Create visually compelling assets using Canva or other digital design tools
  • Develop relationships and utilize local-based content creators to provide authentic and relevant content for the CVB to utilize
  • Manage content-related projects from inception to completion, including photo and video shoots
  • Execute email marketing campaigns for segmented target markets and interest groups
  • In coordination with the marketing team, create and manage an editorial calendar to ensure consistent content delivery and alignment with marketing campaigns and events
  • Ensure website content is optimized for search engines and user experience by implementing on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including keyword optimization, link building, and metadata optimization
  • Develop and manage online promotions by creating content, securing partner participation and fulfilling prizes if necessary
  • Respond to messages, comments, and replies across social media platforms to engage audience and provide destination expertise
  • Oversee the digital asset management platform and distribution of all FCCVB-owned content, including photo and video distribution to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to refine strategies and report on key performance indicators
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience with digital marketing, social media, and email campaigns preferred
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and other web technologies
  • Experience managing Google Analytics, email, and other various platforms preferred
  • Position is primarily in-office
