We seek a fun loving, team oriented marketing professional to serve as Digital Marketing Manager for Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark. The role will report to the Director of Marketing and handle a multitude of projects, working with a variety of internal customers as well as internal and external resources. This position provides strategic guidance and tactical execution on hotels and restaurants, golf and spa marketing performance. Experience and good working knowledge of social media, public relations, digital and email marketing and analytics are essential to succeeding in this role.

  • Support development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans across properties/locations. 
  • Responsible for developing and providing strategies to grow and maximize online revenue, including but not limited to search engine marketing, display advertising and content marketing. 
  • Identify digital opportunities across properties to improve. Research and present solutions to Director of Marketing. Handle contract negotiations, implementation and solution implementation and adoption by properties. 
  • Maintain excellent level of understanding of marketing resources, tools and programs. 
  • Serve as liaison to agencies regarding promotional activities to include public relations, SEO, print, digital, electronic media, and direct mail. 
  • Research, analyze, and monitor various environmental factors, technological developments and changes in market trends to capitalize on opportunities. 
  • Oversee and manage online listings for properties. 
  • Monitor and report on key marketing performance metrics for marketing campaign tracking. Develop recommendations and act on this intelligence. 
  • Oversee, plan, create and execute content for social media channels for hotels, restaurants and other business units. 
  • Oversee, plan and create website content for the property brand sites including blog content 
  • Oversee and analyze online reputation management through Revinate (vendor) or other services. 
  • Participate in marketing/revenue and sales meetings and events as needed. 
  • Analyze metrics and provide insights to improve. 
  • Work collaboratively with leadership team to assist in data management strategies. 
  • Analyze and report on customer insights. Provide reporting to primary stakeholders on property and at the corporate offices. 
  • Maintain standards and processes pertaining to marketing efforts. 
  • Capture photography and video to support branding and promotional needs. 
  • A great desire to learn on the go to improve work flows, a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow through and complete projects to best-in-class standards. 
  • Other tasks, there will likely be many, as assigned.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a related field of study, it will likely be what you did outside of class that qualifies you for this role. 
  • Five years of getting paid for your marketing skills, ideas and input is required 
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for service and hospitality, they will likely possess experience in for-profit hospitality ventures/industries. 
  • Proven success motivating, engaging and supporting a team. 
  • Past team members should be your best references. 
  • This person will be able to "get $#%* done" based on past project management experience and success. 
  • Must be tech savvy, IF we have to explain or list the software, systems, hardware and/or apps you use, you might not be "tech savvy". 
  • Experience with CRMs and how to be engaging but not "Junk Mail" or "Always Block Sender" material. 
  • Must be a strong communicator, able to connect with all levels, demographics and audiences both verbally and in writing, both short (social media) and long form. 
  • Attention to detail is a personal way of life, you are ideally a planner, maybe even obsessive to a point you drive friends and family crazy, at times. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, people should like you, really-really like you. 
  • Able to work in the "Circus World" of Marketing, running multiple projects (acts), juggling a variety of priories (with the occasional chainsaw thrown in) and squeeze it all into a small timeline/budget (like 14 clowns in a VW bug). 
  • Able to follow directions but creative enough to push the envelope and possibly their luck. 
  • An eye for visual arts, with photography and video talent preferred. 
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop preferred.
