We manufacture numerous types of fibre cement products with a variety of patterned profiles and surface finishes for a range of applications, including external siding and soffit lining, internal linings, facades and floor and tile underlay.

James Hardie Building Products is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager that has a passion for digital marketing trends and success at executing a creative digital strategy.

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for establishing digital communications, web marketing strategies, and processes across James Hardie Building Products. This includes managing and developing web marketing, external digital communications, and coordinating social media programs.

The role is responsible for introducing the business to relevant, new digital/social media strategies. As well as, establishing and reporting metrics for major digital and web programs. This position reports to the Manager of Marketing and will have the opportunity to work out of our corporate office located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop road map for website that supports the goals of providing inspiration, product information, moving consumers through the purchase funnel.
  • Drive customers to aligned contractors and/or generate leads.
  • Develop and implement a consumer contact strategy that prior to purchase educates consumers on the Hardie value proposition and post purchase, encourages customers to share their experiences with the brand.
  • Expand the James Hardie Digital Footprint.
  • Determine the places on the internet where the Hardie brand should be based on an analysis of search terms.
  • Work with agencies to develop content that point consumers back to James Hardie.
  • Expand James Hardie's presence in Social Media.
  • Grow fan base, improve engagement, and work towards a self-perpetuating model for growing fan base.
  • Develop promotions which help increase fan base.
  • Track Facebook and Twitter editorial calendars and look for ways to improve engagement and grow fan base.
  • Work with Preferred Remodelers to generate content and connections with consumers.
  • Work with agencies to develop internet marketing programs which drive consumers to James Hardie's website for inspiration and product knowledge.
  • Determine appropriate media channels to maximize impressions for targets and drive sales leads.
  • Ensure consistent message is communicated to consumers across print and electronic media.
  • Create multi media marketing campaigns by partnering with internal customers and third party venders/agencies to develop and launch regional campaigns.
  • Ensure the measurement and optimization of digital media campaigns, consumer website interaction, and our work with Social Media.

  • Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and proprietary software).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience managing the product, place, price and promotion (4 Ps of marketing).
  • Proven project management experience in a cross-functional environment.
  • Business to business plus business to consumer marketing experience (preferred).
